Simple way to protect your eyes Einfacher Ratschlag um Ihre Augen zu schützen

Don't take your eye health for granted. Protect your eyesight with these six tips:

1. Eat for Good VisioN

Protecting your eyes starts with the food on your plate. Studies have shown that nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, zinc, and vitamins C and E may help ward off age-related vision problems such as macular degeneration and cataracts. Regularly eating these foods can help lead to good eye health:

Green, leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale, and collards

Salmon, tuna, and other oily fish

Eggs, nuts, beans, and other non-meat protein sources

Oranges and other citrus fruits or juices

Eating a well-balanced diet also helps you maintain a healthy weight, which makes you less likely to get obesity-related diseases such as type 2 diabetes. Diabetes is the leading cause of blindness in adults.

2. Quit Smoking for Better Eyesight

Smoking makes you more likely to get cataracts, optic nerve damage, and macular degeneration. If you've tried to quit smoking before and started smoking again, keep trying. Studies show that the more times you try to quit smoking, the more likely you are to succeed.

3. Wear Sunglasses for Good Vision

The right kind of sunglasses will help protect your eyes from the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays.

Too much UV exposure makes you more likely to get cataracts and macular degeneration.

Choose sunglasses that block 99% to 100% of both UVA and UVB rays. Wraparound lenses help protect your eyes from the side. Polarized lenses reduce glare when driving.

If you wear contact lenses, some offer UV protection. It's still a good idea to wear sunglasses for more protection.

4. Use Safety Eyewear at Home, at Work, and While Playing Sports

If you work with hazardous or airborne materials at work or home, wear safety glasses or protective goggles every time.

Certain sports such as ice hockey, racquetball, and lacrosse can also lead to eye injury. Wear eye protection (such as helmets with protective face masks or sports goggles with polycarbonate lenses) to shield your eyes.

5. Look Away From the Computer for Good Eye Health

Staring at a computer screen can cause:

Eyestrain

Blurry vision

Difficulty focusing at a distance

Dry eyes

Headaches

Neck, back, and shoulder pain

Protect your eye health by taking the following steps:

Make sure your glasses or contact lens prescription is up-to-date and adequate for computer use.

Some people may need glasses to help with contrast, glare, and eye strain when using a computer.

Position your computer so that your eyes are level with the top of the monitor. This allows you to look slightly down at the screen.

Try to avoid glare on your computer from windows and lights. Use an anti-glare screen if needed.

Choose a comfortable, supportive chair. Position it so that your feet are flat on the floor.

If your eyes are dry, blink more.

Every 20 minutes, rest your eyes by looking 20 feet away for 20 seconds. At least every two hours, get up and take a 15-minute break.

Eye is the window to the beautiful nature, therefore never lost it when we own it!

Massagen aus aller welt fuer moderne Wellness Messages for health

Massagen aus aller welt fuer moderne Wellness Messages for health

kidney stones a sign of something worse make out your own health care plans

A kidney stone, also known as a renal calculus (from the Latin rēnēs, "kidneys" and calculus, "pebble") is a solid concretion or crystal aggregation formed in the kidneys from dietary minerals in the urine.

Urinary stones are typically classified by their location in the kidney (nephrolithiasis), ureter (ureterolithiasis), or bladder (cystolithiasis), or by their chemical composition (calcium-containing, struvite, uric acid, or other compounds). About 80% of those with kidney stones are men. Men most commonly experience their first episode between 20-30 years of age, while for women the age at first presentation is somewhat later.

Kidney stones typically leave the body by passage in the urine stream, and many stones are formed and passed without causing symptoms. If stones grow to sufficient size (usually at least 3 millimeters (0.12 in)) they can cause obstruction of the ureter. Ureteral obstruction causes postrenal azotemia and hydronephrosis (distension and dilation of the renal pelvis and calyces), as well as spasm of the ureter. This leads to pain, most commonly felt in the flank (the area between the ribs and hip), lower abdomen, and groin (a condition called renal colic). Renal colic can be associated with nausea, vomiting, fever, blood in the urine, pus in the urine, and painful urination. Renal colic typically comes in waves lasting 20 to 60 minutes, beginning in the flank or lower back and often radiating to the groin or genitals. The diagnosis of kidney stones is made on the basis of information obtained from the history, physical examination, urinalysis, and radiographic studies. Ultrasound examination and blood tests may also aid in the diagnosis.

When a stone causes no symptoms, watchful waiting is a valid option. For symptomatic stones, pain control is usually the first measure, using medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or opioids. More severe cases may require surgical intervention. For example, some stones can be shattered into smaller fragments using extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. Some cases require more invasive forms of surgery. Examples of these are cystoscopic procedures such as laser lithotripsy or percutaneous techniques such as percutaneous nephrolithotomy. Sometimes, a tube (ureteral stent) may be placed in the ureter to bypass the obstruction and alleviate the symptoms, as well as to prevent ureteral stricture after ureteroscopic stone removal.

Maradona and Messi from Argentina Maradona the greatest footballer in the football history

Messi the Argentinian star has gain respects worldwide for his opponent damaging dribles, fast pace and great eye for goals

but what I notice best about this dude and many other great players is that they don't surrender to injury quickly. They can basically carry the burden of the whole team and nation with proper timing and lady luck on their side. Many can argue that Ronaldo has quicker feet and better build thus making him a 'Goliath' in world football, but it's a 'David' like Messi that really captivates the world with his midiocre build and passionate play.

Don't get me wrong,I am actually not a fan of Barcalona, but I'd say that Barcalona's play is better than most clubs as they have the right gears in the mechanism of their tactics and the centre piece of their squad is truelly a diamond amongs pearls,Messi. Even with growth difficulties and the constant jokes with Messi involving Lego's,Messi often rises to the occasion and is usually the difference between Arsenal's quick attacking continental play and theirs. It's no wonder why Messi is widely recognized and decorated with awards among them the coveted Balon d'Or award.

But his performances for his nation has often been less than glamour with Messi amongs those without goals in the previous World Cup. As contrast to Argentinian legend Maradona who has captivated audiences in his national career more compared to his club's ventures.Maradona has often been the hope of Argentina's winning dream. But strangely as the contrast..Messi and Maradona has many similarities. But Messi is only the star for a team maradona s spirit and heart.

Animation showing how diabetes illness works

Diabetes Mellitus is a syndrome characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from impaired insulin secretion and /or effectiveness. There are many complications of diabetes such as retinopathy, nephropathy, atherosclerotic coronary and peripheral arterial disease and peripheral and autonomic neuropathies. There are two types of diabetes IDDM (type: insulin Dependent) and NIDDM (type II: Non insulin dependent DM).

Diabetes is called Xiao Ke in Chinese Medicine. It is believed there are three major organs involved in the disease. They are the lungs, stomach and kidney organs. There are three types (patterns) Xiao Ke (diabetes) classified by Chinese Medicine according to the patient's clinical symptoms, pulse and tongue and which organs are mainly involved

What causes Xiao Ke (diabetes) in the Chinese Medicine point of view? It is believed that people who indulged in alcohol and sweet and/or greasy foods and have an irregular, unhealthy and sedentary lifestyle are prone to develop Xiao Ke diseases. This lifestyle easily consumes and blocks the body's energy. Once the body's energy is blocked, there is stagnation and eventually, toxic heat will be generated. The toxic heat will further consume the vital organ's fluid and cause organ malfunction and disharmony. The lung organ, spleen and kidney have not been in harmony for a long time before Xiao Ke (diabetes) develops.

The first step to treating and/or preventing diabetes is to start with exercising regularly and food therapy such as the Chinese diet therapy (Chinese Yao Shan.) Recently research indicates that our muscles transport blood glucose into the muscle cells to lower blood sugar level without the need of insulin during muscle exercise. That is the reason exercise is important in preventing diabetes and helping to control blood sugar. The increased circulation prevents and helps in delaying any degenerating complication such as neuropathy.

healthy food for beautiful skin anti aging skin care healthy diet

A balanced diet is an essential prescription for healthy and vibrant skin.

The good news is that the foods that happen to be good for your skin are also good for your overall health.
Many people find that the appearance of aging skin — wrinkles, thickening, discoloration, and decreased elasticity — is one of their biggest beauty concerns. While genetics largely determines when your skin starts to show these signs of aging, and the extent to which it shows them, environmental damage to your skin, as well as damage you cause yourself through lifestyle choices, can greatly accelerate this process.

Skin damage occurs as a result of oxidation, a chemical process in which unstable molecules called free radicals steal electrons from healthy cells. The most damaging oxidative stressors that we expose ourselves to are smoking and sunlight.
Aside from staying away from cigarettes and using sunscreen when you go out, the next best thing you can do for your skin's health is to eat a diet rich in antioxidants. These are nutrients that work to defend your body's cells — including skin cells — against the damage of oxidative stress. You're probably familiar with some antioxidants, such as vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium, and vitamin A (in the form of beta-carotene). Others, which you may be less familiar with, are collectively known as phytochemicals (there are hundreds of them), and they are found in foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and beans.

To keep your skin well-protected and nourished, and to extend its youthful appearance, focus on the foods that are good sources of the following nutrients:

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is involved in the production of collagen (which keeps skin firm) and protects cells from damage caused by free radicals. Scientific studies have found that when lab animals eat vitamin C — fortified food, their skin is better able to fight oxidative damage. It's important, then, to replenish your skin's vitamin C stores every day by eating plenty of fruits and vegetables. Good sources include bell peppers (red, green, and yellow), broccoli, cantaloupe, mangoes, oranges, pineapple, snow peas, strawberries, tomatoes, and watermelon.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E helps protect cell membranes and guards your skin against damage from the sun's UV radiation. Some research has suggested that vitamin E may work in combination with vitamin C to provide an extra degree of anti-aging skin protection. However, because recent studies have raised some questions about the safety of vitamin E supplements, this nutrient should come from your diet, not from high-dose pills. It's best to stick with food sources like wheat germ, fortified whole-grain cereals, nuts and seeds, olive oil, Swiss chard, and spinach, as well as the small amount of vitamin E found in a multivitamin.

Beta-carotene

Beta-carotene, another antioxidant that's critical for skin health, is converted to vitamin A in the body and is involved in the growth and repair of body tissues. It may also protect your skin against sun damage. In extremely high doses, however, pure vitamin A from supplements can be toxic, so be sure to avoid them unless a doctor has recommended them and is closely supervising you. Beta-carotene from foods like apricots, cantaloupe, carrots, red bell peppers, mangoes, pumpkin, and sweet potato is sufficient and entirely safe for your skin.

Selenium

Selenium is an antioxidant mineral that helps protect the skin from sun damage; it also helps the skin maintain firmness and elasticity. Selenium obtained from food has been shown to reduce sun damage and even prevent some skin cancers in animals. Be sure to avoid selenium supplements, however. The Nutritional Prevention of Cancer Trial found that people with a high risk of nonmelanoma skin cancers who took selenium supplements actually had a 25 percent increased risk of squamous cell carcinomas. The best food sources for selenium are Brazil nuts (no more than 1 or 2 nuts a day because the selenium is so concentrated), tuna (canned, light), crab, oysters, whole-wheat pasta, lean beef, shrimp, whole-wheat bread, turkey, wheat germ, chicken breast, mushrooms, and eggs.

Omega--3 Fatty Acids

Although not classified as antioxidants, omega--3 fatty acids help maintain cell membranes so that they are effective barriers. These healthy fats also reduce inflammation throughout the body, which may translate into fewer skin breakouts. Omega-3s also seem to offer the skin protection against sun damage. In a study of skin cancer, people who ate diets rich in fish oils and other omega-3 fats had a 29 percent lower risk of squamous cell skin cancer than those who got very little omega-3 fats from food.

health and high protein diets for individual health care plan خطة الرعاية الصحية الفردية

High protein diet effects aren't all positive. Plenty of fad diets, such as the Atkins Diet and the South Beach Diet, emphasize high protein content, and many dieters now avoid carbs like bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. Protein based diets can help you feel full longer and stabilize your blood sugar levels, but they also carry certain risks.

1) A High Protein Diet Increases Your Risk Of Osteoporosis
Research shows that women who eat high protein diets based on meat have a higher rate of bone density loss than those who don't. Women who eat meat lose an average of 35% of their bone density by age 65, while women who don't eat meat lose an average of 18%. In the long run, bone density loss leads to osteoporosis.
Doctors believe that the reason for this is that a high protein diet requires your body to process more calcium. While many high protein diets allow for the consumption of dairy products like milk, cheese and yogurt, your body might still extract calcium from your bones to get the extra amounts it needs to process the high amounts of protein in your diet.

2) A High Protein Diet Puts Strain On Your Kidneys
It's well known that patients with kidney problems suffer from eating a high protein diet. While dieters with normal, healthy kidney function don't seem to suffer any ill effects from eating a high protein diet, such a diet can put strain on your kidneys. Your kidneys are responsible for filtering a number of substances, including protein, from your blood. So a high protein diet can put strain on your kidneys; those with reduced kidney function should avoid such a diet.

3) High Protein Diets May Contribute to Cancer

Some studies show that high protein diets may contribute to the development of some cancers. People who eat low protein diets have been shown to have low blood levels of Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1). High protein diets increase blood levels of IGF-1, which some researches believe may contribute to certain forms of cancer.

4) High Protein Diets Can Cause Damage to Internal Organs

Your body needs carbohydrates to make energy. When you deprive your body of carbohydrates, it's forced to burn body and dietary fat and protein to make energy instead. When your body begins to burn large amounts of body fat, ketones can accumulate in the body. When dangerous levels of ketones accumulate in the body, the dieter could succumb to a diabetic coma, which could be deadly without immediate treatment.
Even if ketones don't accumulate to dangerous levels, you could suffer damage to the internal organs as your body burns the protein in the tissues of your heart, liver and kidneys for energy. Damage to the organs could lead, eventually, to organ failure.

5) High Protein Diets Cause Nutritional Deficiencies
Perhaps one of the most common risks of high protein diets is nutritional deficiency. Fruits and vegetables are necessary to a healthy diet, because they provide the vitamins and minerals your body needs. Cutting out whole grains eliminates dietary fiber and increases your risk of vitamin E and B deficiency, as well as irritable bowel syndrome and, in the long run, colon cancer.

green tea lowers heart disease risk 緑茶には、心臓病のリスクを低減

Green tea

is made from the leaves from Camellia sinensis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing. Green tea originates in China, but it has become associated with many cultures throughout Asia. Green tea has recently become more widespread in the West, where black tea has been the traditionally consumed tea. Green tea has become the raw material for extracts which are used in various beverages, health foods, dietary supplements, and cosmetic items. Many varieties of green tea have been created in the countries where it is grown. These varieties can differ substantially due to variable growing conditions, horticulture, production processing, and harvesting time.

Over the last few decades green tea has been subjected to many scientific and medical studies to determine the extent of its long-purported health benefits, with some evidence suggesting that regular green tea drinkers may have a lower risk of developing heart disease and certain types of cancer. Although green tea does not raise the metabolic rate enough to produce immediate weight loss, a green tea extract containing polyphenols and caffeine has been shown to induce thermogenesis and stimulate fat oxidation, boosting the metabolic rate 4% without increasing the heart rate.

The mean content of flavonoids in a cup of green tea is higher than that in the same volume of other food and drink items that are traditionally considered of health contributing nature, including fresh fruits, vegetable juices or wine.Flavonoids are a group of phytochemicals present in most plant products that are responsible for health effects such as anti-oxidative and anticarcinogenic functions. However, the content of flavonoids may vary dramatically amongst different tea products

tuberculosis in europe TB drug resistance problem lung illness

Tuberculosis has re-emerged as a public health concern in high-income countries in the last few decades.

The European region accounts for only 5% of world TB cases. The incidence of new TB cases in Europe varies from very low rates in Scandinavian countries (six to eight cases/100,000 population) to rates as high as 231 cases/100,000 population in Tajikistan; the Russian Federation is eleventh among the 22 high-burden TB countries. The estimated detection rate of new sputum smear-positive pulmonary cases and the treatment success rate in 2007 were poor compared with other WHO regions: 51% of cases were diagnosed and 70% of them completed a full course of anti-TB therapy, which is still a long way from the World Health Assembly targets (detection of 70% of infectious cases and successful treatment of 85% of them).

The low success rate is largely attributable to the increasing number of drug-resistant TB cases: Eastern European countries are among those with the highest rates of multidrug-resistant (MDR)-TB (TB resistant to rifampicin and isoniazid) in the world. By the end of September 2009, at least one case of extensively drug-resistant TB (named XDR-TB and defined as a MDR-TB strain with additional resistance to any fluoroquinolone, and to at least one of three injectable drugs used in anti-TB treatment) had been reported by 25 countries in the WHO European Region. In Western Europe, TB continues to cause disease among elderly native-born individuals, although high-risk groups including immigrants, prisoners, HIV-infected persons and drug addicts significantly contribute to the overall burden. Improved TB control in Europe requires a large coordinated effort by all stakeholders, including governments, governmental and non-governmental institutions, as well as the academic and private sectors and affected communities.

controlling infectious disease hepatitis B in China healthy project for China Children

Hepatitis B is an infectious inflammatory illness of the liver caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV)that affects hominoidea, including humans. Originally known as "serum hepatitis", the disease has caused epidemics in parts of Asia and Africa, and it is endemic in China.About a third of the world population has been infected at one point in their lives, including 350 million who are chronic carriers.
The acute illness causes liver inflammation, vomiting, jaundice, and, rarely, death. Chronic hepatitis B may eventually cause cirrhosis and liver cancer—a disease with poor response to all but a few current therapies. The infection is preventable by vaccination.

Hepatitis B virus is a hepadnavirus—hepa from hepatotropic (attracted to the liver) and dna because it is a DNA virus—and it has a circular genome of partially double-stranded DNA. The viruses replicate through an RNA intermediate form by reverse transcription, which in practice relates them to retroviruses.Although replication takes place in the liver, the virus spreads to the blood where viral proteins and antibodies against them are found in infected people. The hepatitis B virus is 50 to 100 times more infectious than HIV

Acute infection with hepatitis B virus is associated with acute viral hepatitis -- an illness that begins with general ill-health, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, body aches, mild fever, and dark urine, and then progresses to development of jaundice. It has been noted that itchy skin has been an indication as a possible symptom of all hepatitis virus types. The illness lasts for a few weeks and then gradually improves in most affected people. A few people may have more severe liver disease (fulminant hepatic failure), and may die as a result. The infection may be entirely asymptomatic and may go unrecognized.

Chronic infection with hepatitis B virus either may be asymptomatic or may be associated with a chronic inflammation of the liver (chronic hepatitis), leading to cirrhosis over a period of several years. This type of infection dramatically increases the incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer). Chronic carriers are encouraged to avoid consuming alcohol as it increases their risk for cirrhosis and liver cancer. Hepatitis B virus has been linked to the development of Membranous glomerulonephritis (MGN).

Symptoms outside of the liver are present in 1--10% of HBV-infected people and include serum-sickness--like syndrome, acute necrotizing vasculitis (polyarteritis nodosa), membranous glomerulonephritis, and papular acrodermatitis of childhood (Gianotti-Crosti syndrome). The serum-sickness--like syndrome occurs in the setting of acute hepatitis B, often preceding the onset of jaundice. The clinical features are fever, skin rash, and polyarteritis. The symptoms often subside shortly after the onset of jaundice, but can persist throughout the duration of acute hepatitis B.About 30--50% of people with acute necrotizing vasculitis (polyarteritis nodosa) are HBV carriers. HBV-associated nephropathy has been described in adults but is more common in children. Membranous glomerulonephritis is the most common form.Other immune-mediated hematological disorders, such as essential mixed cryoglobulinemia and aplastic anemia.

The hepatitis B infection does not usually require treatment because most adults clear the infection spontaneously. Early antiviral treatment may be required in fewer than 1% of people, whose infection takes a very aggressive course (fulminant hepatitis) or who are immunocompromised. On the other hand, treatment of chronic infection may be necessary to reduce the risk of cirrhosis and liver cancer. Chronically infected individuals with persistently elevated serum alanine aminotransferase, a marker of liver damage, and HBV DNA levels are candidates for therapy. Treatment lasts from six months to a year, depending on medication and genotype.

Although none of the available drugs can clear the infection, they can stop the virus from replicating, thus minimizing liver damage. As of 2008, there are seven medications licensed for treatment of hepatitis B infection in the United States. These include antiviral drugs lamivudine (Epivir), adefovir (Hepsera), tenofovir (Viread), telbivudine (Tyzeka) and entecavir (Baraclude), and the two immune system modulators interferon alpha-2a and PEGylated interferon alpha 2a (Pegasys). The use of interferon, which requires injections daily or thrice weekly, has been supplanted by long-acting PEGylated interferon, which is injected only once weekly. However, some individuals are much more likely to respond than others, and this might be because of the genotype of the infecting virus or the person's heredity. Health medicine sports channal

Healthy habit for man you are what you eat du bist was du isst

Sometimes you just can't resist a tiny piece of chocolate cake. Even the most health-conscious eaters find themselves indulging in junk foods from time to time. New research by scientists at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) raises the striking possibility that even small amounts of these occasional indulgences may produce significant changes in gene expression that could negatively impact physiology and health.

kidney function in animation how our Kidney Works Wie funktioniert die Niere 私たちの腎臓のしくみ

We can live quite well with only one kidney and some people live a healthy life even though born with one missing. But while bones can break, muscles can waste away and the brain can sleep without risk to life, if both of your kidneys fail, as happens in end stage kidney failure, bone, muscle or brain can not carry on.

How do our kidneys work?
Think of your kidneys as an extremely sophisticated, waste disposal system, which sorts non-recyclable waste from recyclable waste, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, while also cleaning your blood. Much of this waste is produced by the body as it processes the food you eat.

Without any kidney function our body dies. Some kidney function is essential for life!

Most people are born with two kidneys, each one about the size of an adult fist, are bean-shaped and weigh around 150 grams each. The kidneys are located at both sides of your backbone, just under the rib cage or above the small of your back. They are protected from injury by a large padding of fat, your lower ribs and several muscles.

What do your kidneys do?

Our kidneys are small biological marvels with a fascinating design. Healthy kidneys act like a filter to make sure the right amount of wastes and fluids are removed. Every hour your blood supply circulates through the kidneys about 12 times. Each day your kidneys process around 200 litres of blood, with around 1 to 2 litres of waste leaving the body as urine. Our kidneys make three important hormones, erythropoietin, renin and active vitamin D. Erythropoietin stimulates the production of red blood cells, renin is involved in the control of blood pressure and active vitamin D controls calcium uptake and helps make strong bones.

What is the role of your kidneys in keeping you healthy?

For organs so small, your kidneys works hard - they have a number of vital roles to play in the daily functions of our body, as they:

act as filters for your body to clean blood of wastes, yet retain essential elements needed by the body

they keep the proper balance of salts and acids in the body, and produce hormones and enzymes which help to:

control your blood pressure

help to keep your internal water balance

make red blood cells and help maintain your blood composition and pH levels

maintain strong and healthy bones and help to keep mineral balance

Your kidneys are master chemists of the body, intervene in many processes and balances in the body and control many vital body functions. The major role of the kidneys is to remove waste from the blood and eliminate it in the urine. To remove this waste and extra water, blood enters the kidney through the renal artery; blood is then cleaned in the kidney as it passes through tiny filters called nephrons. The nephrons are the basic working units of the kidneys, controlling the formation of urine. One kidney contains about one million nephrons, and each nephron contains a filtering apparatus called a glomerulus.

Anatomy of the kidneys

We have about a million hairpin-like glomeruli at birth, but lose about 100,000 of these every decade of life. Droplets of filtered blood pass through a number of tubules (tiny tubes) into the medulla, a central collecting region. The glomeruli and tubules together make up nephrons, long and extremely fine tubes which, if connected, would run for 80 kilometres (50 miles).

Cleaned blood returns to the body by the renal vein. Waste and extra water removed by the kidney passes through a tube called the ureter to the bladder, where it is stored as urine or wee. When the bladder is full, urine passes out of the body through another tube called the urethra.

The process of removing waste and extra water in simple terms is:

food and drink enters the stomach and are broken down into nutrients

solid waste products are removed and nutrients enter the bloodstream.

nutrients are used by the body for energy, growth, repair and maintenance of body functions.

this process creates waste which is removed by the kidneys.

extra nutrients not immediately needed by the body are also removed by the kidneys.

waste products and extra water move from the kidneys to the bladder, then leave the body as urine

The kidneys are designed to last a life-time. They do an amazing job! It is important to care for them.

type 2 diabetes patient food and sexuality diabetic diet Foods Not to Eat With Type 2 Diabetes

The goal of a healthy diet for type 2 diabetes is to focus on foods

that will support normal blood sugars, a healthy weight, overall health and avoidance of diabetic complications. According to the American Diabetes Association, people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) can enjoy a variety of foods. General guidelines encourage eating more of certain foods while limiting others, however every diet needs to be individually tailored according to culture, personal preference, sex, age and other lifestyle factors.

Sugar

Sugar in food causes blood sugar to rise. A type 2 diabetic with consistently high blood sugar levels is at risk for complications like retinopathy (retina damage), neuropathy (nerve damage), foot ulcers, skin disorders and kidney disease. While sugar is OK in small amounts, it should be limited to maintain a normal blood sugar. Sugary foods also tend to be high in calories while lacking essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Filling up on nutrient-dense foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins is a better way to use calories.

Fats

Limit dietary fat, because it is high in calories and consuming too many calories can lead to obesity. Obesity not only complicates diabetes but is also one of the greatest risk factors for developing heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, asthma and arthritis. Decrease dietary fat by choosing low-fat dairy products, lean meats, fruits, vegetables and whole grains. You can also cut fat and calories by cooking with little or no oil or butter; making smart choices when eating out; monitoring portion size; and limiting high-calorie snacks and desserts. The ADA especially emphasizes the need to avoid saturated and trans fats which increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke and raise cholesterol. A 2010 article from "Diabetes Educator," a publication of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, reported that a plant-based, low-fat diet helped control blood sugars in type 2 diabetes.

Starchy Vegetables

Vegetables offer many essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, but you should limit starchy vegetables in a type 2 diabetes diet because they function more like a carbohydrate and raise blood sugars. Starchy vegetables include peas, corn, potato, winter squash, pumpkin and sweet potato.

Alcohol

The ADA recommends drinking alcohol only if blood sugar is well controlled and advises women to limit their intake to one drink per day and men to two drinks per day. A July, 2004 article from "Diabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews" found that moderate alcohol intake benefited people with T2DM by reducing the risk of heart disease, however too much alcohol negatively affected blood sugar and nullified any benefits to the heart .

Heavy smog shrouding air-polluted Beijing

Sandstorm, rainstorm, smog, one after another struck the power center of china-Beijing

is becoming another Capital of 19Century London Air quality in Beijing was the "worst on record" this weekend, according to environmentalists. The city's pollution monitoring centre has warned residents to stay indoors with pollution 30-45 times above recommended safety levels.

Choked in dense smog for three consecutive days, Beijing started emergency response measures on Sunday to curb the

air pollution

at hazardous levels.

The Chinese capital, home to around 20 million people, has been wrapped in thick smog since Friday, reducing visibility and disrupting traffic. Such pollution has been identified as a major cause of asthma and respiratory diseases.

Data posted today by the monitoring centre showed particulate matter measuring less than 2.5 micrometres in diameter (PM2.5) had reached more than 600 micrograms per square metre at some monitoring stations in Beijing, and was as high as 900 yesterday evening.

The recommended daily level for PM2.5 is 20, according to the World Health Organisation, while the US's Environmental Protection Agency advises anything greater than 300 would trigger a health warning of "emergency conditions" with the entire population likely affected.

"This is really the worst on record not only from the official data but also from the monitoring data from the US embassy - some areas in (neighbouring) Hebei province are even worst than Beijing," said Zhou Rong, climate and energy campaigner at Greenpeace.

Emergency response measures were adopted on Sunday in some areas to deal with the heavy pollution, a senior official with the Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau said.

Outdoor sports activities for primary and middle schools were ordered to be halted from Sunday to Tuesday in extreme pollution areas, including Tongzhou, Miyun, Daxing, Mentougou and Fangshan districts, the municipal authorities said.

China said at the end of last year that it would begin releasing hourly pollution data for its biggest cities. Beijing has already committed to a timetable to improve air quality in the city, and has relocated most of its heavy industry, but surrounding regions have not made the same commitments, said Mr Zhou. "For Beijing, cleaning up will take a whole generation but other regions don't even have any targets to cut coal burning. I bet the pollution here is mainly from those surrounding regions."

In Beijing there is a smog of officials polluting the water and air from the source of china original land. What you can see is jut only the thing visible, while the unvisible doing more than thousand times harm than the man-mading "so-called desaster" is the smog of chinese unfair social welfare system plus the unjustible politial principle.Nothing can stop these communism party to contaminate the chinese land with either forfather-living earth or progeny-believing principle as long as their evil greedy mouth is biting the chinese cilivization!

Who finally knows that truth!time will speak loudly of everything!
